Today marks a new milestone for me. I submitted my information
packet for Reduction for consideration in the 2017 Book Pipeline
competition. They take a small sample and a synopsis of the book and
review its potential as movie or TV series material. If it is something
that is interesting enough to catch their eye and has the characteristics
of a possible film-worthy venture, the winner gets $10,000 prize money
and a boat load of publicity around Hollywood studios. Do I stand a
chance? I don’t know, but I know what my chances are if I don’t submit.
